The Board of Commissioners adopted the revisions to the land use plan map, zoning map, and the water/sewer plan map on September 13, 2012.  The revisions to the land use plan and zoning maps are effective as of September 13th, while the water/sewer plan map revisions will still need to be submitted to and approved by the Maryland Department of the Environment before they become effective.

NEXT STEPS AND SCHEDULE

Revisions to the Text Document
In January 2013 staff will be formally initiating amendments to the 2010 County Plan text document to reflect the mapping revisions adopted in September 2012.  This step will involve the typical plan amendment process with a 60-day review period for the proposed amendments followed by public hearings before the County Planning Commission and the Board of Commissioners.
