First Grade Field Trip 

Program DescriptionSnake

*Living Organisms
Provides students a chance to compare and classify organisms by their external features. Discussion Topics will include: food chains vs food webs, decay, and habitats. Live animals from the nature center are incorporated throughout the program.

  • Program Length: 1 1/2 hours
  • Class Size: 10 - 75 students
  • Chaperones Required: One chaperone per 15 students
  • This class meets the following Maryland curriculum standards: SC.100.10. 01, 02, 03, 05, 06; SC.100.30.01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07

*In-School Presentations
This program is available as an in-school presentation. These include: live animal presentations and interactive nature activities. The program fee will include the cost of the program plus a $50 transportation fee.
