Master Transportation Plan
Frederick County Master Transportation Plan
In December 2001 the County adopted its first Master Transportation Plan (MTP).
The MTP provides a countywide focus on transportation needs and more
importantly supports a multi-modal approach in addressing the mobility
needs of the County. The MTP includes the following components:
- Discussion of funding sources and processes.
- Discussion of the relationship between land use planning and transportation.
- Goal and policy statements from
existing plan and studies that address the individual transportation
elements including highways, transit, pedestrian/bicycle, and the
airport.
- Identification of next steps and action recommendations.
- List of long-term projects.
- List of short-term projects.
