About the Park
The spring on the property releases up to 3.25 million gallons of water per day which is thought to be one of the strongest springs in Maryland. It maintains a constant temperature of 54 degrees Fahrenheit year round.
The water is utilized in a small rainbow trout fishing pond that spills into a wet meadow area. The Department of Natural Resources stocks the pond periodically with trout.
Park visitors may fish here year round. However, the following requirements must be followed:
A consolidated license is required for those over 65.
Visitors aged 16 - 65 must have a valid Maryland fishing license and trout stamp.
Visitors are allowed to catch two fish per day per person.
