Mission
The mission of Substance Abuse Services is to expand recovery from substance abuse within Frederick County.

To accomplish this mission, a balanced approach is used, intervening at three levels:

• Early intervention
• Prevention
• Treatment

The program is tailored to meet the differentiated needs of adolescents and adults, and provides a variety of prevention services suited to both populations and their families.

Admission
In order to receive regular counseling, the person must have a substance abuse problem or be in a close relationship with someone with a substance abuse problem.

Cost
Fees are established in accordance with income, ability to pay, and insurance of those requesting services.

Services will not be refused to those unable to pay.
