General Information
Accreditation falls under the control of the Commander of Accreditation and Facility Development (Lieutenant). The Commander of Accreditation and Facility Development is responsible for the leadership and coordination of daily activities within the Accreditation and Development Department. The Accreditation and Facility Development section consists of institutional compliance, compliance for the inmate population, inspections, all audits, and policy revisions. Audits include the Maryland Commission on Correctional Standards (MCCS), National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH), State Fire Marshall, and others.
