Emergency Food Program
Food Resources
Frederick County Government and the State of Maryland Department of Human Resources have a common interest and goal of providing emergency food resources to families in Frederick County through the Emergency Food Assistance Program.
The Citizens Services Division in partnership with the Maryland Department of Human Resources coordinates bulk food distributions to local food banks several times each year. For more information about TEFAP, contact Leslie Barnes (301) 600-1447.
Participants
The following food banks participate in the three annual emergency food distributions that are coordinated by Frederick County Citizens Services Division and funded by the MD Dept of Human Resources. This is not a complete list of all food banks in Frederick County.
Donations
If you are interested in making a donation to any of the food banks listed above, please contact that food bank directly to determine what goods are needed and/or how monetary donations are accepted. Frederick County Government does not endorse any one specific food bank over another. However, food for families in need continues to be a critical issue for families in Frederick County. Support from the public is both needed and appreciated to address this basic human need. Thank you.
